eLibertarian operates strictly under the following privacy policies and principles:

1. The only personally identifiable information we obtain about individual visitors to this web site, such as name, address, telephone numbers, email addresses, and credit card information, is that supplied voluntarily by visitors.

2. Most of the information supplied on the free signup form, such as city, state and country will appear together with ads that you post in one of our markets. Your name and email address (and website if you've filled that in) will be visible to members with ads that you post, so that they can reply direcly to you about your ad.

3. Your name, email address or website does not appear in your ads in the section libertarian dating, where visitors can only respond via a form which is automatically emailed to you without revealing your email address.

4. We do not disclose any personal information provided by visitors to any third parties, such as advertisers, database compilers, etc., except that they will be able to collect the information listed on the site themselves.

5. Any ads you post in any of the markets (libertarian dating, jobs, goods, services, friends, lodging) can be edited or deleted from the site instantly by you any time, by using your item management.

6. Any messages you post in the other categories (libertarian events, news, jobs, forum, chat, articles, jokes) cannot be edited or removed by you and we have no obligation to remove or edit any such postings on your behalf. However, we will generally respect a reasonable edit or removal request of one of your posts in one those categories if you email us at support@elibertarian.com.

7. Any information you supply when making payments to eLibertarian, such as name and address used for credit card verification, is strictly confidential and will not be published on the site or provided to third parties other than third party credit card processors, who in turn will keep these data confidential.

8. Only statistical information such as usage habits and demographics of our visitors as a group may be shared with any partners of eLibertarian. Personally identifiable information will not be shared at any time, except as described above in points 2, 3 and 4.

9. We employ strict security measures to safeguard all online transactions. Personal credit card information is stored in a secured database and always sent via an encrypted Internet channel to our merchant service company.

10. A cookie is any small program or text file containing information that a web site transfers to a visitor's hard disk for record keeping or to facilitate the transfer of content during an online session. eLibertarian uses cookies to store your username and keep track of whether you have logged in. Only the following information is stored on your computer: your username, and a temporary session identifier.

11. eLibertarian, like virtually all web sites, uses statistical programs to collect and analyze aggregate data on servers and visitors accessing its site. This is done to conduct system administration, site analysis, and report and analyze statistical data on traffic for various purposes, including requests from advertisers. To maintain visitor anonymity, we do not associate IP addresses with records containing submitted personal information except in the case where this becomes necessary to track and identify anyone who threatens our site, service or visitors.
